What is an outpatient radiology RN?

Outpatient Radiology RNs are registered nurses who specialize in providing care to patients undergoing diagnostic imaging procedures in outpatient settings, such as MRI, CT scans, X-rays, and ultrasounds. Their responsibilities include patient assessment, preparation for procedures, administering medications or contrast agents, monitoring vital signs, and providing education and support before, during, and after imaging tests. Outpatient Radiology RNs collaborate closely with radiologists and technologists to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
