What is an operating room CVOR RN?

Operating Room CVOR RNs, or Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurses, are specialized nurses who assist in surgical procedures involving the heart and blood vessels. They work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other members of the surgical team to ensure patient safety before, during, and after cardiovascular surgeries. Their responsibilities include preparing the operating room, monitoring patients during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and providing post-operative care. These nurses are trained in advanced cardiac life support and must be able to respond quickly to emergencies in the operating room.
