What is an OA RN?

OA RNs, or Orthopedic Assistant Registered Nurses, are nursing professionals who specialize in supporting orthopedic teams in clinical settings. They assist with patient care before, during, and after orthopedic procedures, including casting, splinting, and wound care. OA RNs also educate patients about recovery, mobility, and pain management. Their role requires a strong understanding of musculoskeletal disorders and excellent communication skills to collaborate with surgeons, physical therapists, and patients.
