What is an NPI Project Engineer?

NPI Project Engineers, or New Product Introduction Project Engineers, are professionals responsible for managing the launch of new products from the design phase through to production. They coordinate cross-functional teams, oversee timelines, ensure manufacturability, and resolve technical and process issues during product development. Their goal is to ensure that new products are introduced to market efficiently, meeting quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
