What is a Neuro RN?

Neuro RNs, or Neuroscience Registered Nurses, are specialized nurses who care for patients with neurological conditions such as stroke, brain injuries, epilepsy, and spinal cord disorders. They work in settings like neurology units, intensive care, and rehabilitation centers, providing assessments, administering medications, and supporting neurological recovery. Neuro RNs require strong critical thinking skills and a deep understanding of the nervous system to monitor changes in patients’ conditions and intervene promptly. They also educate patients and families about neurological illnesses and recovery processes.
