What is an MOT inspector?

MOT Inspectors, also known as MOT Testers, are trained professionals authorized to carry out MOT (Ministry of Transport) tests on vehicles in the UK. Their main responsibility is to ensure that vehicles meet the minimum safety and environmental standards set by the government. They inspect key components such as brakes, lights, emissions, and tyres, and issue pass or fail certificates based on their findings. Becoming an MOT Inspector requires specific qualifications and approval from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).
