Career: Mapc

MAPCs, or Municipal Aggregation Program Coordinators, are professionals who help cities and towns organize and manage collective electricity purchasing programs. These programs, known as municipal aggregation, allow communities to pool their electricity demand in order to negotiate better rates or cleaner energy sources for residents and businesses. MAPCs coordinate between local governments, utility companies, and suppliers to ensure compliance with state regulations and smooth operation of the program. They may also work on public education, customer service, and data analysis related to energy usage and savings.
