What does an lm do?

An LM, or Licensed Mental Health Counselor, is a professional who provides counseling and support to individuals, families, and groups dealing with emotional, mental, or behavioral issues. They assess clients’ needs, develop treatment plans, and use various therapeutic techniques to help clients manage or overcome their challenges. LMs often work in private practices, hospitals, schools, or community health centers and are required to have a master's degree in counseling or a related field, as well as state licensure.
