What is an LDAR tech?

LDAR Techs, or Leak Detection and Repair Technicians, are professionals responsible for identifying and repairing leaks of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and other gases in industrial facilities such as refineries, chemical plants, and manufacturing sites. Their main job is to use specialized equipment, like gas analyzers and infrared cameras, to detect leaks in valves, pumps, connectors, and other equipment.
