What is a launch driver?

Launch drivers are professionals responsible for operating and navigating small boats, often called launches, which ferry passengers or goods between shore and larger vessels, such as ships anchored offshore. Their duties include safely transporting people, handling docking and undocking procedures, and maintaining the launch vessel.
