What is an L&D RN?

L&D RNs, or Labor and Delivery Registered Nurses, are specialized nurses who care for women and their newborns during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. They monitor both the mother and baby, assist physicians or midwives during childbirth, and provide education and support to families. Their responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and responding to emergencies to ensure the safety and well-being of both mother and child.
