Is a policy advisor the same as a policy analyst?

A Policy Advisor and a Policy Analyst are not the same, although they share similarities in their roles within government or organizations. While both positions involve informing and shaping policy decisions, a Policy Advisor's role tends to be more hands-on and influential in the policy development and implementation process, while a Policy Analyst's role is centered on research and analysis.
