As a court reporter, you will work regular business hours in a courthouse, typically in a courtroom or conference room. Occasionally, you have to travel to other locations to record depositions. You have to complete continuing education courses to maintain your state-mandated license and your voluntary professional certifications, as well as to keep up with changing trends and best practices in court reporting.
