What does an industrial software engineer do?

An Industrial Software Engineer designs, develops, and maintains software systems that control and optimize industrial processes and manufacturing equipment. They work closely with engineers from other disciplines to ensure that software solutions integrate effectively with hardware and meet safety and efficiency standards. Their duties often include programming PLCs, developing SCADA systems, and implementing automation solutions.
