What is an in class support teacher?

In Class Support Teachers are educators who work within mainstream classrooms to provide additional support to students with special needs or learning difficulties. They collaborate with the main classroom teacher to adapt lessons, offer individualized assistance, and help students access the general curriculum. Their goal is to ensure all students have the opportunity to succeed in an inclusive classroom environment. In Class Support Teachers may also help with behavior management, accommodations, and progress monitoring.
