How to get a church accounting job?

Career: Church Accounting

A degree is not typically among the qualifications required to become a church accountant. However, a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field may increase your overall job prospects, as can advanced coursework in financial reporting, taxes, and auditing. A master’s degree or CPA is not necessary for this position unless your employer requires additional certification or skills when dealing with the IRS. Church accounting is an entry-level job in the industry, though most individuals choose this path because of their faith. It is not uncommon for religious individuals to take an accounting position at a church after working in the industry at other organizations.
