How to get a CNC machine job?

Career: CNC Machine

The qualifications and skills you need to get a CNC machine job vary, depending on the specific position. CNC machinists need to have a high school diploma or GED certificate and complete a vocational training program in CNC machinery. These training programs teach you what to expect in the industry and provide hands-on experience with the equipment. Once you have completed schooling, you are eligible for entry-level CNC machinist positions. CNC manufacturing supervisors already have experience as a CNC machinist plus some managerial experience, either through a previous job or the completion of an associate or bachelor’s degree program in manufacturing, business management or a similar field. Some positions also prefer supervisors who can write CNC programs for CNC equipment.
