How to become an LCSWA?

Career: Lcswa

To become a licensed clinical social worker associate (LCSWA), you need to pursue a master’s degree in social work or a related field. Most states require you to attend a social work program approved by the Council on Social Work Education and complete two years of hands-on training to obtain a license. The Association of Social Work Boards offers the Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate credential. You must also continue your education throughout your career with credits approved by your state board. Additional qualifications needed to be a successful LCSWA include active listening skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with individuals of various backgrounds.
