The qualifications you need to become an insurance representative depend on your employer, but you need at least a high school diploma. To work in a medical facility, you may need an associate degree in medical assisting or medical office management. To work directly for an insurance company as a sales agent or claims representative, you may need an associate or bachelor’s degree in communication, mathematics, business administration, or another relevant field.
