Insurance inspector jobs require a bachelor’s degree in finance, business, engineering or a field related to the area in which you want to specialize. Some insurance inspectors, especially those aspiring to management, may find earning an MBA very helpful. You can also opt for elective classes in risk assessment and liability; in these courses, you will study the basics of insurance to gain some of the skills and qualification you need to fulfill your responsibilities in this career. You may also choose to pursue a voluntary certification in this field, but it is not usually required.
