How to become an exercise physiologist?

Career: Exercise Physiologist

The career path to becoming an Exercise Physiologist requires both education and experience. To lead your clients through health-enhancing biochemical movements, you will need a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology or a related field, and likely a master’s degree or equivalent clinical experience. For example, some have clinical experience in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. Your next step is to obtain certification through the American Society of Exercise Physiologists (ASEP) or the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). Being able to work well with different people is also important as some of your clients may be recovering athletes while others may be elderly or in fragile physical condition.
