How to become an environmental designer?
Career: Environmental Designer
To pursue a career as an environmental designer, you need at least a bachelor’s degree in urban planning, geography, landscape architecture, environmental design, or a related subject. Some employers prefer a master’s degree in the field. Once you have enough experience, you can take a test to earn the Certified Environmental Planner credential from the American Institute of Certified Planners. If you want to go into an architecture related job, your degree should have accreditation from the National Architectural Accrediting Board. You also need a state license.
