How to become an avionics manager?

You must meet several qualifications to become an avionics manager. First, you need a high school diploma, preferably with a focus on STEM subjects or avionics. You need training in avionics technology, such as Collins, Garmin, and Honeywell, along with a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Repairman Certificate. You need approximately ten years of experience in avionics, and previous supervisory experience is beneficial. Strong leadership skills are a must to guide your department successfully. You also need a solid understanding of repair station operations and FAA procedures regarding avionics.
