How to become an auto appraiser?

Auto body appraisers need a high school diploma or equivalent. Most employers prefer candidates who have education and training in auto-body repair. Work experience in car repairs or sales is valuable for this job. Some states require auto appraisers to have an adjuster’s or appraiser’s license. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are also standard requirements. Auto appraisers need strong negotiation and communication skills. Strong math skills are also helpful.
