How to become a tour pilot?

The qualifications to become a tour pilot include the appropriate certifications to operate the type of plane or helicopter you want to fly and, preferably, some experience guiding tours. The most common license required for this position is the commercial pilot license (CPL). Getting a CPL requires being at least 18 years old, having a 2nd Class medical certificate, passing all required courses and exams, and sometimes having additional ratings. Fulfilling the responsibilities and duties of a tour pilot requires excellent customer service and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to stay calm in an emergency situation.
