How to become a system administrator?

System Administrators generally have an associates or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. That said, some are hired based solely on an extensive job history showing off expertise and relevant certification. This might include having proven skills through certification by such respected programs as Red Hat Certified System Administration, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), CompTIA Server+, or VMware Certified Professional. You must have an analytical mind and be a good problem solver. Additionally, you must have strong communication and social skills in order to helpexplain technical issues to colleagues. It might also be beneficial if you can program scripts to run internal functions and you have a working knowledge of Unix operating systems.
