How to become a storage engineer?

Career: Storage Engineer

To become a storage engineer, you need a bachelor’s degree in a computer science field. While some employers accept an associate degree, this is uncommon, even for entry-level positions. Degrees that focus on storage engineering are rare, but programs like information systems management can provide you with more specific skills than a general computer science program. You can become a Certified Storage Engineer through the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA). However, certification in a specific area, like programming languages or security, can do just as much to boost your career. These are available through several major tech companies, including Cisco, Microsoft, and IBM.
