How to become a standardized patient?

Career: Standardized Patient

The primary qualifications for a position as a standardized patient are a high school diploma or GED certificate as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Employers strongly prefer applicants who have previous acting experience. In many cases, you must also meet the demographic requirements of the case, which may include age, ethnicity, gender, and disabilities or other medical conditions. Many standardized patients work sporadic hours, so the ability to work on a flexible and changing schedule can help you stand out from other applicants. Fulfilling the duties of an SP position requires strong memorization skills and attention to detail.
