How to become a server?

Career: Server

Qualifications for Servers include traits such as a positive attitude, attention to detail, the ability to work quickly and efficiently, and to remain calm under pressure. You might find your first part-time or summer Server position while still in high school, as typically there are no education requirements for this role. However, some employers prefer hiring Servers with high school diplomas or GED. For positions that include liquor service, you might have to be of drinking age in your state. Possessing transferrable skills from past work experience such as customer service, retail, communication, and time management will also be beneficial.
