How to become a seafood processor?

Seafood processors must be capable of handling the harsh conditions found onboard a fishing vessel. You must be physically fit, as you must be capable of climbing various types of equipment. You also need to be able to be away from extensive medical support for long periods of time and able to maintain proper hygiene even in less-than-ideal situations. Typically, you need a food handling permit. Qualifications do not require you to have previous experience or education beyond a high school diploma. As part of your regular duties, you need to be capable of working in confined spaces and be able to communicate with other workers.
