How to become a SERE instructor?

To become a SERE instructor, you must be enlisted in the United States Army, Navy, or Air Force and are required to pass a variety of tests to assess your physical and mental health and to earn SERE certification. You must have a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and, preferably, first-aid and CPR certification. The main qualifications list a variety of programs regarding physical training, including parachutist training, airborne pathogen training, wilderness first responder training, and basic military training. You need to demonstrate your ability to instruct and receive instruction under physically and mentally challenging situations. Lastly, some jobs require you to obtain a security clearance.
