How to become a remote LCSW?
Career: Remote LCSW
To become an LCSW, you must meet the minimum qualifications of a degree from an accredited social work program, a Master of Social Work degree, meeting state practice hours requirements (often 3,000), and passing the 150-question LCSW exam. Many LCSWs choose to work in hospitals, but you can also work in outpatient clinics, psychiatric clinics, and other rehabilitation and therapeutic spaces. To find a remote position, you need to search “remote LCSW” or look for jobs that include “remote” or “remote ok” in the job title or description. Since you work from home, you need a home office compatible with HIPAA and other regulations, and you may need to travel to meetings with clients or other staff. You also need excellent organization and communication skills.
