How to become a receiving manager?

The primary requirement for acquiring a job as a receiving manager is extensive experience in warehouse operations. Some employers prefer candidates with at least five years of industry experience. There are no formal education requirements for this job. Most have at least a high school diploma or equivalent, but some choose to complete a certificate program at a vocational school to learn how to operate warehouse machinery and understand warehouse operations. Many receiving managers start their careers as warehouse clerks and work their way up to this position. Additional qualifications include strong communication and organizational skills and the physical stamina to stand on your feet for extended periods.
