How to become a radiology aide?
Career: Radiology Aide
The qualifications you need to become a radiology aide include a high school diploma and a health care certification. Most employers hire radiology aides who have basic life saving (BLS) and CPR certification. Some employers prefer applicants who are certified nursing assistants (CNAs). This certification requires taking a course that lasts between six weeks and three months and passing a state exam. Your duties can include transporting patients to the radiology department and helping position them for x-rays or other procedures. You need physical strength and communication skills to handle these responsibilities. Some employers hire technical aides who have previous experience in radiology.
