How to become a radio engineer?

A career as a radio frequency engineer typically requires at least a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, and many go on to earn a master’s degree. Many positions also require a Professional Engineers (PE) license. The job duties of a radio engineer often include designing broadcast systems, overseeing antenna transmissions, maintaining power systems, and developing integrated circuits for electronics. Additional qualifications are radio frequency (RF) experience, analytical skills, and knowledge of computer software. The Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) offers voluntary certification.
