How to become a property appraiser?

A career as a property appraiser does not require you to have formal education beyond a high school diploma or GED certificate, although some qualifications in the form of certification and licensure are required. To get your certification as a property appraiser, you must attend certification courses and pass the required exams. It takes a minimum of 75 hours of training to become an apprentice appraiser and a total of 150 hours to become a licensed appraiser, during which you will gain job skills that will be invaluable throughout your career. Appraisal certifications are provided by the Appraisal Qualifications Board (AQB).
