How to become a process controller?

The qualifications you need to get a job as a process controller include a bachelor’s degree in engineering or another technical field. You also need at least one or two years of relevant experience through another job or internship. Most employers prefer candidates who have experience working with the exact systems they use, such as Valmet or DeltaV DCS. However, others are willing to train the right candidate to work with these systems. This career requires teamwork skills, a willingness to be flexible when problems and needs arise, and exceptional written and verbal communication skills. A valid driver’s license is necessary for jobs that require travel.
