How to become a paver?

A high school diploma or GED certificate is the only educational requirement to become a paver. Some vocational schools and apprenticeships can you teach valuable skills for completing your construction duties, such as how to use specialized tools and equipment to lay materials. Prior experience with responsibilities in road construction is preferred, and you need a class 5 driver's license to operate machinery. You must be familiar with the materials used, including stone, asphalt, concrete, and pavement. Additional qualifications include an understanding of electronics and computerized controls, the ability to meet deadlines, attention to detail, and knowledge of industry safety standards.
