How to become a pattern maker?

Career: Pattern Maker

The qualifications you need as a pattern maker include technical skills and job experience. You can learn the craft of pattern making at a technical or vocational school through fashion design, patternmaking, or apparel technology program. You may wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree in fashion design. Some employers, on the other hand, may offer apprenticeships for people with sewing or tailoring skills. In the manufacturing industry, pattern makers may only need a high school diploma or a certificate in engineering, math, or computer-aided design.
