How to become a mail sorter?

There are no education requirements to become a mail sorter, also known as a mail handler. All United States Postal Service (USPS) positions require candidates to be over 18-years-old, be a U.S. citizen, and pass the Postal Service exam. Drug tests and background checks are required and may be repeated throughout your career. You must complete extensive on-the-job training to gain the skills and knowledge you need to fulfill your responsibilities in this career.
