To pursue a career as a logistics engineer, you need at least a bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, or logistics and transportation, as well as experience in the supply chain and distribution industries. You can demonstrate your skills by earning optional professional certification, like the Certification in Transportation and Logistics (CTL) offered by the American Society of Transportation and Logistics (ASTL). You need either a bachelor’s degree or at least three years of experience in logistics to apply for the certification, and you must pass a series of exams to earn the credential.
