Lead front end developers usually need to have at least one or two years of experience with front end duties and responsibilities before taking a leadership position. Although there are no formal education qualifications that you need to get this job, some companies prefer candidates with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar area of study. Obtaining certifications in at least one or two coding languages, such as CSS or JavaScript, can come in handy as well.
