How to become a jump pilot?

To become a jump pilot, you need to follow the same educational path as commercial pilots. A post-secondary degree is not required for most positions, but many companies prefer candidates with a bachelor’s degree. You also need to obtain a commercial pilot’s license, which requires at least 250 hours of flight time. Some companies want their pilots to have more than 250 hours of flight time and expect them to have instrument ratings in addition to their license. Part of your job duties include relaying important information to the skydivers during the flight, you need to have excellent communication skills and have a keen attention to detail.
