How to become a hostess?

Career: Hostess

There are no formal education requirements to become a host or hostess. Most employers provide on-the-job training. However, many employers prefer job seekers who have a high school diploma or GED certificate. To become a host or hostess, you need to be friendly, charismatic, and organized. You also must be able to stand and walk around for extended periods. To work your way up in the restaurant industry as a lead host/hostess or front-of-house manager, a college degree in hospitality management may give you an advantage.
