How to become a greeter?

Career: Greeter

There’s no formal education requirement for an aspiring Greeter, though most employers prefer an individual with at least a high school diploma. A positive attitude and a flexible schedule for working evenings, weekends, and holidays are the most important qualifications for this position. It will help your job search if you have at least one year of prior experience in a customer-facing or receptionist-like role. If you’re pursuing a Greeter role within the foodservice industry, obtaining a food safety certification is a plus. For Greeters working in an establishment that serves alcohol, there may be a requirement that you be 21 years or older.
