How to become a framer?

Career: Framer

To become a framer, you need to earn a high school diploma or GED certificate and then look for an apprenticeship program upon graduation. Through a carpenter or framer apprenticeship, you gain the necessary skills and on-the-job experience for beginning this career. It’s also a good idea to collect your own basic tools, like a hammer and tape measure, as you work on job sites as an apprentice. When you finish your program, you can find work as a journeyman framer, which entails working independently on construction sites. Other qualifications include good prioritizing and multitasking skills as well as the ability to work well in teams.
