How to become a figure drawing model?

There are no formal educational qualifications or extensive skills necessary to become a figure drawing model. You do not need to have a sculpted body, but you do need to be comfortable posing while partially clothed and nude. Familiarize yourself with life drawing etiquette to understand what is expected of you and what to expect from artists and art students. You need to know traditional gestures and poses used but must also hone your ability to be creative in posing. Classes can last up to three hours, so you also need physical stamina to hold the positions for long periods of time.
