The qualifications you need to start a career as a field supervisor include at least one to two years of experience in a job with supervisor duties. You also need a valid driver’s license. There are no formal education requirements for this job, but most employers prefer candidates with a high school diploma or GED certificate. The skills you need vary with the type of field supervising you do, but you usually need critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
