The qualifications you need to get a job as a field collector include a high school diploma or GED certificate. You also need a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and excellent customer service skills. Most companies hiring for this career prefer outgoing individuals with proven experience in customer service. You also need to be able to work well on a team. Much of this job is traveling, usually with your own vehicle. You need to have a clean driving record, and you must keep your car maintained. You should also be able to lift up to 50 pounds to transport equipment to and from customer locations.
