To pursue a career as a data warehouse analyst, earn a bachelor’s degree in computer science, programming, database administration, or a related field. Some employers prefer candidates with a master’s degree. You need extensive knowledge of relational database theory, database systems, data modeling, and architecture. Acquire a position in a technology firm or an IT department at a company to practice designing and developing data warehouse systems. Professional certification is not required, but some employers prefer candidates who are certified in data science.
